Are Green Ways Leading to Less Pollution?

I'm not sure whether our "green" ways are leading to lowered levels of pollution. With the BP disaster on the front, definitely not. But this aside, are we really polluting less and helping our planet to survive and ultimately us as inhabitants of this planet? Are all of us taking the green initiative and seeing this philosophy as something that is of utmost importance? I don't think every one is. Some who are natural antagonists are saying that green philosophy is a waste of time and unnecessary. They don't see the importance in saving hardwood trees to sustain our oxygen supplies. They don't see that these trees are necessary to clean the pollution out of the air so that we can breath. The ones of us who are taking the green standpoint need to show these antagonists that there really is something to be concerned over. We are stewards of the earth and God has put us here to take care of what we need to survive. Jesus will return, but until that time, we have to breath, eat and to do so, take care of the precious earth God gave us.
